Upcoming

"While the old Sport Hill Road race course in Easton, CT has evolved into a multi-lane high traffic state road, we still want to celebrate Fairfield County's contribution to modern day auto racing as we know it. Before the Indianapolis Speedway, or even the Vanderbilt Cup closed course races on Long Island - there were Hill Climbs, and none more popular than the one held right here in Easton, CT."

Rally Overview

  • The rally will begin with a relaxed 8:00–9:00 AM meet-up off West Main Road in Little Compton, take a left down by the mailboxes and follow the gravel road (stay left between stone walls) to the barn . Will have some coffee and breakfast items provided for casual conversation and tire kicking before departing.
  • Will expect to head out at 9:30 AM, following a carefully mapped route heading east along the Sakonnet coast. The drive will feature quiet roads and scenic beaches.
  • We’ll make our way toward Padanaram, then return via a lesser-known coastal route back to Little Compton, offering beautiful views and enjoyable driving throughout. There are two gas stations along the route.
  • Lunch will be served at our starting/finish spot in Little Compton, either in the barn or under a tent on the lawn. As this is a private location, there is no rush to depart, and participants are welcome to linger and enjoy the afternoon.

Commonly, we meet Friday Evening at a local Pub. A Saturday morning start takes us over beautiful country roads for 80-100 miles - often with a beautiful and/or an interesting lunch stop. Upon return to Lakeville, after a little time to refresh - we convene at the restaurant for cocktails, dinner and awards. Sunday Morning, we travel together for 50-70- miles and enjoy a light lunch at a restaurant near major highways so that our long-distance members can proceed home with no stress.

  • New bathrooms in a new, air-conditioned clubhouse adjacent to the paved paddock!  Last year we held our potluck cookout in the clubhouse due to the heat.
